Conventional wisdom says that the holiday shopping season, at least for video games, starts around the end of September. In other words, it’s right around the corner. The Holiday season is always the most looked forward season for gamers, with so many different games coming out, and so many of them being big name ones, it is hard to not get excited for at least one of them. And this coming season is going to be no different, as a matter of fact, there is probably a game for everyone this year.

Technically not part of the 2011 holiday season, but since they were originally supposed to come out in time, I included the two following ones anyway.
Twisted Metal. Early 2012. PS3Twisted Metal will be the first true Playstation Twisted Metal game in about a decade. The more recent one was a PSP title that got ported over to the PS2. |

Silent Hill: Downpour Early 2012. MultiplatformThe 8th installment of the famed Silent Hill Survival Horror franchise. This upcoming survival horror video game will be a stand alone story. Although the story is set in the town of Silent Hill, it will be staying away from the known locals, and instead take place in the previously unexplored southern section. |
So for this holiday season, young and old alike will probably find something they enjoy, for any type of games, whether you like MMORPG‘s, platformers, shooters, or even something different.
Happy Holidays!
